Yas Island is a small island off the coast of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. It covers 25 km2 of land (9.7 sq mi). It is a renowned leisure island and one of Abu Dhabi's most prominent tourism initiatives.
The Yas Marina Circuit, which has hosted the Formula One Abu Dhabi Grand Prix since 2009, is located on Yas Island. In November 2009, Yas Island was crowned the world's leading tourist initiative at the World Travel Awards.
